This is a website for a church in Cahors, France.
It requires content in both French (the primary site) and English (linked secondary site). Updated and expanded on a regular basis, it currently runs to about 30 pages across both languages. The challenge here is to provide enough flexibilty for the site to continue to grow without sacrificing ease of navigation.
The main pages tend to be fairly text heavy (by choice) and then there is a substantial amount of diverse content:
The original site was adapted from a template by Andreas Viklund and run under WordPress. Although I enjoyed using WordPress and found it very powerful, my own view is that I had more functionality than necessary so I made the policy decision to migrate this site away from WordPress. My favoured option is for a site built around PHP, XHTML and CSS.
As the site continues to grow, there is now a need to streamline and update the content.
